Electrolysis

Creating Green Hydrogen

Captured CO2 and green hydrogen are the only inputs in our carbon conversion process. The hydrogen utilized in the AIRMADE™ system is produced sustainably on-site through a process called electrolysis. Powered by renewable energy, we use electricity to split water (H2O) into hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2). Oxygen is the only byproduct of this process and is released into the atmosphere, while we take the H2 and feed it into our reactor.

Because our green hydrogen is generated on-site, it’s able to be used immediately. This means we don’t need to store it, and therefore the greenhouse gas emissions associated with hydrogen infrastructure and transportation aren’t produced.
