Transforming CO2 through a Chemical Reaction
Our Carbon Conversion Reactor is the heart of our technological strength – it’s where CO2 and H2 meet and are converted into carbon-negative chemicals and fuel for consumer and industrial use.
Inside the Reactor, tubes are packed with our patented chemical catalysts, produced in-house from Earth-abundant metals. Aligning with the principles of green chemistry, we avoid using rare Earth metals which can release toxic material into the surrounding environment when extracted.
When CO2 and H2 flow through each of these tubes and interact with the catalyst, it ignites a chemical reaction that generates what we call a reactor liquid. This liquid mixture is composed of ethanol, methanol, water and paraffins.
