Carbon Capture

The CO₂ we use in our process is captured off-site from fermentation and industrial alcohol plants before it’s even emitted into the atmosphere.

We work with partners to collect and deliver the CO₂ to the factory after it's been cooled, pressurized, and liquified. While we currently use biogenic CO₂, meaning it was previously removed from the atmosphere by natural processes, our AIRMADE™ technology can support CO₂ from any source. In the future, we will explore using carbon sourced from direct air capture (DAC) technologies, once they become commercially available.
